Each board is created from locally harvested Texas Black Walnut wood salvaged from our tree service. We are committed to sustainability and preserving Texas trees and Urban Forests. Every log we fell becomes something unique.
How to clean a wood cutting board
You can easily clean your board using a free and natural soap, water and a sponge or scouring pad. You wand to avoid sumberging your board because that leads to expansion of the wood and the subsequent contracting may cause warping or cracking.
When you're ready, scrape off the stuck bits with a spatula, scour it with your sponge then rinse. Towel dry and leave out to dry naturally.
If you cut onions or garlic or notice the essence of other flavors on the board, make a baking soda and lemon juice paste and scrub it around. That should get it back to woody.
